EverSphere Safety Charter.

At EverSphere, we believe artificial intelligence must be built with safety, ethics, and human purpose at its core. The EverSphere Safety Charter sets out the principles, safeguards, and governance structures that guide every aspect of our research and deployment.

Our goal is simple: to advance intelligence in ways that strengthen human flourishing, preserve global stability, and safeguard the future.

1. Principles of Safe AI Development

  • Human-Centred Values:
All EverSphere systems are designed to operate within ethical frameworks aligned to human rights, democratic accountability, and societal well-being.
  • Transparency & Explainability:
Wherever possible, our models provide interpretable reasoning pathways, so that decisions can be audited, challenged, and improved.
  • Accountability at Scale:
Responsibility for AI outcomes rests with EverSphere. Our technologies are never deployed without clear lines of accountability, internal and external.
  • Precautionary Progress:
We innovate ambitiously but proceed responsibly — with the recognition that intelligence at scale carries systemic risks.

2. Governance & Oversight

  • Ethics & Assurance Board:
Led by Dr Abigail Shaw, our independent Ethics & Assurance division oversees all EverSphere projects. This body holds the power to halt, amend, or recall any deployment that fails safety criteria.
  • Dual Oversight Pillars:
    • Technical: Dr Elliot Foster and the R&D team enforce reproducibility, robustness testing, and scientific integrity.
    • Ethical: Dr Shaw’s office ensures alignment with international standards of fairness, dignity, and non-maleficence.
  • Independent Red-Teaming:
All foundation models undergo rigorous adversarial testing by external experts to uncover hidden failure modes before public deployment.
  • Auditable Pipelines:
Every model checkpoint, parameter update, and training dataset is logged and reproducible, ensuring post-deployment transparency.

3. Safety Protocols in Practice

  • Layered Safeguards: Multiple tiers of containment, monitoring, and fallback controls are embedded into all models.
  • Real-Time Monitoring: Our Global Safety Grid analyses live inference streams for anomaly detection.
  • Fail-Safe Mechanisms: All systems include isolation switches and rollback capabilities.
  • Regular Audits: Quarterly compliance reviews benchmark models against safety baselines and evolving international standards.

4. Global Responsibility

EverSphere recognises the global impact of advanced AI and accepts a duty of care beyond borders. Our commitments include:

  • Sharing non-sensitive research findings with the international community.
  • Participating in multilateral frameworks for AI governance.
  • Engaging with civil society, academia, and regulators to ensure inclusive oversight.

5. Our Pledge

We pledge that EverSphere AI systems will always be developed with safety before scale, ethics before profit, and humanity before automation.

Artificial intelligence must not only make life easier - it must make life safer, fairer, and more meaningful. That is our charter.

Dr Abigail Shaw, Chief Ethics & Assurance Officer, EverSphere
